CONSPIRA

Coherent control of spin chains in graphene nanostructures · ERC Advanced Grant · 2024–2028

The project

CONSPIRA addresses the challenge of fabricating and controlling periodic arrays of nuclear and electronic spins embedded in graphene nanostructures with atomic-scale precision. Elementary spins are key components for quantum technologies, yet integrating them into scalable platforms with tunable interactions remains a bottleneck.

The project combines on-surface synthesis with spin-sensitive spectroscopies, a novel low-temperature STM coupled to cavity quantum electrodynamics, and microwave-based control of spin dynamics.
